Imperative adalah salah satu bentuk kalimat dalam bahasa Inggris yang berfungsi untuk meminta dan memberikan instruksi, saran, perintah, petunjuk, larangan, dan semacamnya.

Imperative sentences bisa diakhiri dengan tanda titik atau period diakhir kalimat, akan tetapi umumnya kalimat satu ini diakhiri dengan tanda seru atau exclamation point di akhir kalimat.
